I am a change agent, Journalist, Management Information System Consultant, and trainer. Energetic, self-motivated and hardworking, I hold a Master’s degree in Social Science and a diploma in Management Information Systems. I have 15+ years of monitoring and evaluation experience focused on rural development initiatives in the areas of Women and Child Rights, Gender, Institution Capacity Building, Entrepreneurship development, value chain and market development, education, rights, governance, livelihoods, health, nutrition, emergency response, rehabilitation and currently market-led development projects in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean (ranging from $2–$30 Million in budget). My working experience is at the intersection of organizational change, feminist praxis, leadership, and digital technology. I have proven experience in Results-based planning, managing, budgeting and reporting and solid hands-on technical skills in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. I excel in quantitative and qualitative research methods and have a passion for designing, setting up and managing automated, smart phone-based monitoring and evaluation systems.
I was team lead to develop an Irish Aid funded Capacity Building for Inclusive and Participatory Development in Vietnam project’s Management Information System to track partner organizations’ baseline and annual progress on capacity building areas. The project focused on increasing the organizational, networking and programming capacity of selected Vietnamese Non-Government Organizations (VNGOs) and enhance their role in fostering participatory democracy. It targeted a group of VNGOs affiliated to the Civil Society Inclusion in Food Security and Poverty Elimination Network (CIFPEN), all operating in Vietnam’s Northern and Central mountainous provinces and working with vulnerable ethnic minorities and/or disaster risk areas. Through capacity building efforts, the project directly benefited 45 member organizations and nearly 300 staff.
I am also a skilled Facilitator (200+workshops/training conducted) with expertise in Institutional Capacity Building, Women and Child Rights, Entrepreneurship, Human Rights and Governance, Gender, Logic Models and Performance Measurement Frameworks, designing quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, data management and storage systems, data analysis and interpretation of results and institutionalizing monitoring, evaluation and learning systems within and outside organizations.

I have advanced experience in designing and developing Management and Geographic Information Systems (MIS/GIS) for several rural development projects globally, including in both Ghana and Ethiopia. The cloud and smart phone-based systems automatically store, analyze, aggregate and generate activity, output, functionality and outcome level reports. The intention of the MIS/GIS is to generate comprehensive, real-time and accurate information to inform managers and improve programming. I have also designed user-friendly, highly adaptive systems to track capacity change of individuals and organizations that operate as a key tracking and management tool for organizations.
I have specific work experience with a Bangladesh leading Rights and Governance organization (Manusher Jonno Foundation’s) Institutional capacity building unit and Practical Action Bangladesh Entrepreneurship development program as a core trainer group member from 2003 to 2008. My work focused on strengthening Women’s Rights Organizations technical programming skills in areas such as women’s rights, gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights and women’s economic empowerment and strengthening women’s networks / coalitions within Bangladesh. A key focus was improve the management, programming and sustainability of grassroots Women’s Rights Organizations through strengthening women’s rights organization’s internal governance, management and resource mobilization; the performance, effectiveness and quality of service delivery of Women’s Rights Organizations, strengthening women’s rights platforms, alliances and networks and ; the effectiveness of national, State and County level Women’s Rights Organizations’ programming and advocacy to influence the development and implementation of gender-sensitive policies.
